William Burgess Obituary – A man has been taken into custody following the discovery of a deceased individual in a residential fire in Edmond. The local authorities have reported that the Edmond Fire Department promptly arrived at a residence near Magnolia Lane at approximately 4 p.m. on Friday, March 29. Firefighters, upon entering the premises, tragically found a deceased man.
The Edmond Police Criminal Investigations Division was subsequently called to the scene. The Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed the identity of the deceased as 31-year-old William Burgess, the homeowner. It has been revealed that Burgess had previously been involved in a physical altercation with 32-year-old Matthew Branch approximately a month prior to the incident.
