Carroll Bryan Obituary, – At approximately 3:30 p.m., law enforcement officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Shore Drive in response to a 911 call reporting a neighbor’s confession of murder. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a man named Matthew Weldon, aged 37, standing outside his residence, covered in blood.

Weldon directed the deputies towards the house, stating, “He is dead.” Subsequently, the victim, identified as Carroll Bryan, aged 49, was found lifeless on the back patio. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office reported that Bryan had sustained severe blunt force injuries to his head, neck, and arm. Tragically, Bryan was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigation revealed that Weldon and Bryan had met at a local bar in Clearwater two weeks prior, where Weldon had offered assistance to Bryan.

Approximately one week ago, Weldon had loaned his vehicle to Bryan, who failed to return it as agreed. This led to a confrontation between the two individuals at Weldon’s residence on Tuesday. Based on the evidence collected, it appears that Bryan was struck in the back of the head while on the back patio, and subsequently subjected to repeated attacks while on the ground.
