Donald Hampton Obituary, – The man who lost his life in a two-vehicle collision in Lake in the Hills last week has been identified as Donald Hampton, 67, by the McHenry County Coroner’s Office. Olivia Zednick, chief deputy coroner, confirmed this information in an email response to Patch.
The incident occurred around 6:20 a.m. on Thursday, involving a white 2003 BMW X5 and a Kia Forte at the intersection of West Algonquin Road and Harvest Gate, as stated in a news release from the Lake in the Hills Police Department.
Both drivers were transported to nearby hospitals. Unfortunately, Donald Hampton, the driver of the Kia Forte, passed away from his injuries while receiving medical treatment at the hospital on Monday, as per officials. The driver of the BMW received treatment for injuries at the hospital. Thankfully, no other individuals were harmed in the collision, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
