Gabriel Gutierrez Obituary, Man killed in downtown Salinas shooting has been identified
Gabriel Gutierrez Obituary – Salinas authorities have launched an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred in downtown Salinas on Friday night. According to a police spokesperson, a ShotSpotter alert was received around 11:37 p.m. in the vicinity of 200 Salinas Street. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a 46-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Immediate medical assistance was provided by officers and Salinas firefighters, but unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to a nearby hospital. The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office has identified the deceased as Gabriel Gutierrez, a resident of Salinas. Following the incident, an unidentified adult male was observed fleeing the scene.
