William Michael Birkett Obituary, man killed in motorcycle crash on I-295 in Henrico identified

William Michael Birkett Obituary – The victim of a fatal crash on Interstate 295 North in Henrico County has been identified as William Michael Birkett, 63, of Stony Creek by the Virginia State Police. The crash occurred on Tuesday morning, and Birkett was operating a 2022 Tri-Glide Ultra Classic Harley Davidson motorcycle on the I-295 North exit ramp onto Interstate 895 West when he ran off the road to the right, struck a guardrail, and was ejected from the tricycle. Despite wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, Birkett was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is currently under investigation.
