Yong Vang Obituary – 42-year-old Yong Vang has been identified as the man who was fatally shot in central Fresno on Monday. At approximately 4:20 pm, officers received a Shotspotter notification on 9th Street near Pine Avenue. According to witnesses, Vang was involved in a physical altercation before the sound of gunshots. Officers discovered him with a gunshot wound. Vang was immediately transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The individual involved in the fight with Vang has not yet been identified by the police.
