Gregory Little Obituary, Death; Security guard shot and killed Lincoln man outside downtown Lincoln bar, police say

Gregory Little Obituary, Death; – The Lincoln Police Department released the identity of the Lincoln man shot and killed outside a downtown Lincoln bar on Sunday. LPD identified the victim as 32-year-old Gregory Little. Officers, along with members of Lincoln Fire and Rescue, were dispatched to the Royal Hookah Bar and Lounge at 16th & O streets at 3 a.m. on the report of a person outside who had been shot several times.

Upon arrival, officers located Little lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds. CPR was attempted and Little was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries, police said. A preliminary investigation shows Little got into a disturbance with several patrons over-cutting in line. LPD Assistant Chief Jason Stille said the security team, hired out of Omaha, then intervened and Little or someone else may have grabbed at their baton. The disturbance continued and Stille said a 24-year-old security guard then fired four shots at Little. Police said Little had gunshot wounds to his arm and chest.

No one is in custody and it’s unclear if any charges will be filed in the case. Stille said there may be others injured in this incident and asked them, and any witnesses, to come forward with information and video recordings.
