Jeremy Carson Obituary, Man pulled from fire dies in hospital

Jeremy Carson Obituary – According to London police, a man has passed away in the hospital after being rescued from a fire at a housing co-op in Old East Village. The fire, which occurred at the Tolpuddle Housing Co-op on King St., is currently being investigated by major crime investigators, the Ontario fire marshal, and the coroner.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided medical treatment to the man, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries the following morning. The man’s identity has not been disclosed. The fire was contained to one unit’s bedroom, and the cause of the fire is still unknown.

The estimated damage is $200,000, and the community room of the complex has been made available for displaced tenants. This incident marks the second fire fatality in London within two days and the third in 2024. Another fire-related incident occurred on Nairn Ave., resulting in one person being hospitalized and another found deceased. The investigation is being conducted by London police and the Ontario fire marshal, as is standard procedure for fatal or suspicious fires.

The man who survived the fire remains in the hospital as of Thursday. Additionally, on March 9, Jeremy Carson lost his life in a fire that destroyed his apartment complex on Becher St., causing approximately $1.5 million in damages.
