Claudy Pierre Jules Obituary – The man killed in a shooting that resulted in three Atlanta police officers being wounded has been identified by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) as 41-year-old Claudy Pierre Jules from Maryland. The incident occurred in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in southwest Atlanta on Saturday, May 11, where officers Jason Hodge, Darien Tabor, and Charles Smith were shot.

Hodge was treated and released from the hospital, while Tabor and Smith underwent surgery and are currently in recovery. The GBI is conducting an investigation into the shooting, which began when officers responded to a report of a man with a gun on Genessee Avenue and Fairbanks Street SW. During the encounter, the man pulled out a handgun, leading to a struggle with the officers.

The GBI reported that three officers sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds during the incident. Additionally, it was mentioned that Jules was also in possession of a knife. The investigation is ongoing, and the GBI has requested any family members of Jules to contact their Regional Investigative Office in Atlanta at (770) 388-5019.
