Jessica Inek,Rekinna Alanso Obituary, Death; – The crash that occurred on Monday, April 15th at 12:20 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 62 and State Highway 135 in Clay County has been investigated by the Arkansas State Police (ASP). According to the ASP report, Sonter Andon, a 37-year-old resident of Paragould, was driving northbound in his 2013 Buick when he failed to yield at the intersection.
As a result, his vehicle collided with a 1996 Peterbilt driven by Gerayne L. Poole, an 82-year-old from Piggott. Tragically, both vehicles caught fire upon impact, and the occupants of the Buick were unable to escape. The bodies of the victims were subsequently taken to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for identification.
The ASP has now updated their report, confirming that Andon, along with his passengers Jessica Inek (34 years old), Rekinna Alanso (65 years old), Santos Andon (62 years old), Nisdy Inek (36 years old), and a male child, all from Paragould, lost their lives in the crash. The driver of the semi-truck sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis for treatment.
