Johnathon Rodgers Obituary, Louisville Teenager killed in Chickasaw neighborhood shooting identified

Johnathon Rodgers Obituary – The teenager who was fatally shot in the Chickasaw neighborhood on Tuesday night has been identified as Johnathon Rodgers, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

Sgt. Matt Sanders, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, stated that the shooting took place at around 9:19 p.m. in the 3400 block of Garland Avenue, near Louis Coleman Jr. Drive and South 35th Street. Upon arrival at the scene, the police discovered a juvenile lying in the front yard of a residence with a gunshot wound. Unfortunately, Sanders mentioned that the victim “was beyond help” and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear at this time. The LMPD’s Homicide Unit is currently conducting an investigation, but no suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made.
