Thomas Gravil Obituary, – The Bowling Green Police Department has identified the 58-year-old man who drowned at Weldon Peete Park Saturday morning. Thomas Gravil, of Bowling Green, drowned while trying to retrieve his boat which had become untethered while unloading around 8 a.m., according to a police report released Monday. Nearby witnesses pulled Gravil to the shore and called 911 before emergency responders arrived to administer CPR. BGPD arrived on the scene soon after and Bowling Green Fire Department later retrieved the loose boat. Gravil was transported to the Bowling Green Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 9:12 a.m., the report states.
