Tiffany Rodríguez, Ariella Obituary, Death; – The Harris County, Texas Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a significant accident that occurred on Easter Sunday in east Harris County, resulting in the tragic deaths of a mother and her child after being ejected from their vehicle.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the scene of the single-vehicle crash on US-90. According to authorities, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over multiple times and leaving behind a trail of debris and personal belongings. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez expressed that it was evident that the victims had new clothes and eggs in the vehicle, suggesting they had plans for the day. The crash involved a family of five, including a 25-year-old mother named Tiffany Rodríguez, a 26-year-old father, a 5-year-old daughter named Ariella, a 2-year-old boy, and a 2-month-old baby girl.

Investigations revealed that neither of the parents was wearing seatbelts, while all three children were secured in car seats. However, it remains uncertain whether the children were properly restrained. Tragically, Tiffany and Ariella were pronounced dead at the hospital, while the father and the other two children were taken to the hospital for their injuries. Fortunately, they are expected to survive.

Sheriff Gonzalez expressed his dismay at the number of fatalities on the roadways, particularly during this weekend. He emphasized that speed likely played a role in this major crash and that authorities are still determining if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors. This incident brings the total number of crash-related deaths in Harris County to 45 since the beginning of the year. Sheriff Gonzalez finds this statistic alarming and stresses that these accidents are entirely preventable, despite ongoing efforts to educate the community.
