Victor Perez Coralles,Emilia Rodriquez Obituary, Death;  – The Mesa residents who lost their lives in a tragic wrong-way crash near Fountain Hills on Sunday have been officially identified by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. It is believed that impairment may have played a role in the collision between two vehicles on State Route 87 near Shea Boulevard.

According to DPS, a 39-year-old Mesa man was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche in the wrong direction on the northbound lanes. Fortunately, another driver in a Chevrolet Tahoe noticed the wrong-way driver and managed to avoid a collision by moving onto the right shoulder.

However, the driver of the Tahoe then realized that the headlights of a Ford F-150 truck, which was driving near them, had disappeared. Tragically, after passing the Tahoe, the Avalanche collided with the F-150. The driver of the Avalanche sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital. Similarly, the driver of the F-150 is also being treated for serious injuries. Unfortunately, three passengers in the F-150 lost their lives in the crash. The deceased individuals have been identified by DPS as Victor Perez Coralles, 25, Emilia Rodriquez, 42, and Jesus Guadalupe Nunez-Rodriquez, 26, all of whom were residents of Mesa.
