Kenneth Vickers Obituary, Man shot, killed in Rowan County after firing at deputies identified

Kenneth Vickers Obituary – Kenneth Vickers, who was convicted of multiple charges on May 24, allegedly fled a Cabarrus County Court appearance during a break and was later shot and killed in Rowan County on Tuesday. Following his disappearance from the courtroom, authorities located him in the Correll Park neighborhood of Salisbury.

Despite Vickers firing a handgun at deputies, they were able to return fire, resulting in his death. The incident is currently under investigation by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations. This shooting marks one of several officer-involved shootings in the Charlotte area in recent weeks.
