Zunwei Shao Obituary, 37-year-old scooter rider killed Sunday near New Castle indentified

Zunwei Shao Obituary – The Delaware State Police have identified Zunwei Shao as the 37-year-old man who tragically lost his life in a fatal accident near New Castle on Sunday. Shao was riding a Tifgalop K-8 electric scooter southbound on New Castle Avenue towards Memorial Drive when the scooter collided with a 2015 Honda Accord making a left turn onto Memorial Drive.

Due to the dark conditions and lack of proper lighting on the scooter, the Honda driver was unable to see Shao. Unfortunately, Shao was not wearing a safety helmet or reflective clothing at the time of the accident. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
