Antenio Louis Obituary – Darrin Welch, an 18-year-old from Akron, is facing multiple charges in connection with two separate deadly shootings that occurred last year. Court documents reveal that Welch is accused of murder and felonious assault in the drive-by shooting that resulted in the death of Antenio Louis in August.
Louis and a 23-year-old driver were driving on East Glenwood Avenue towards Dan Street when another vehicle blocked their path and opened fire, killing Louis and injuring the driver. Welch is the third individual to be charged in Louis’ death, with Ahmere Williams facing charges of aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, and various firearm and criminal gang activity charges. Myka Hill is also facing charges of tampering with evidence and obstructing justice.
Additionally, Welch is charged in connection with the shooting death of Marvin Rocker, an 18-year-old who was killed in a shootout on March 12, 2023. Police responded to reports of gunfire in the area of South Arlington Street and Lovers Lane, where Rocker was found dead with a gunshot wound to the chest the following day. Welch, represented by attorney John Alexander in both cases, faces two counts of murder and felonious assault.
