Bridgett Danielle Obituary, Death; – A fatal accident occurred in Laurinburg on Monday morning when a woman’s car collided with the back of a Peterbilt tractor trailer. The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Bridgett Danielle from Laurinburg. After being taken to Scotland Memorial Hospital, she was later airlifted to UNC Chapel Hill where she unfortunately passed away.
The Laurinburg Police Department received a report of the accident at the intersection of Highway 401 and Sneads Grove Road. Upon arrival, they discovered a 2017 Peterbilt tractor trailer facing south on Highway 401, with a 2014 Buick Regal partially lodged underneath it. According to Capt. Chris Young, the driver of the Buick failed to reduce speed and collided with the trailer from behind. Emergency medical services and rescue personnel were called to the scene to extricate Bryant from the wreckage.
Fortunately, the driver of the Peterbilt tractor trailer did not sustain any injuries. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Scotland County Sheriff’s Office, Scotland County Emergency Services, and Scotland County Rescue Service all provided assistance in managing the aftermath of the crash.
