Nikolas Hutto Obituary – According to state police, a fatal accident occurred on Sunday on I-55 near Cicero Avenue, resulting in the death of one individual and injury to another. The incident took place around 6:40 p.m. in Garfield Ridge, where three individuals were changing a tire on the right shoulder of the expressway’s southbound lanes.
A pickup truck veered onto the shoulder, colliding with the vehicle and two of the individuals. Sadly, a 28-year-old man named Nikolas Hutto, as confirmed by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a hospital. Another person sustained injuries that were deemed “non-life-threatening” and was also taken to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck, however, did not sustain any injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Currently, an investigation into the incident is underway.
