Richard Chamberlain Obituary, Murder investigation launched as man found stabbed to death

Richard Chamberlain Obituary – An investigation into a homicide has been initiated following the discovery of a deceased man with stab wounds in a residence. Richard Chamberlain, aged 34, was found with multiple injuries at a property on New Market Street in Colne, Lancashire, at 2.26 pm on Sunday, 31 March.

A 44-year-old male, who was taken into custody on suspicion of murder, is currently being interrogated by law enforcement. Lancashire Police have stated that Richard’s family is receiving support from specialized officers and that their “thoughts are with them during this distressing period.” A post-mortem examination is currently underway to determine the cause of death.

Detective Chief Inspector Jill Riley, from the Force Major Investigation Team, stated: “My primary concern is with Richard’s family during this challenging time. We have a committed team of investigators working diligently to seek justice for Richard. As part of our investigation, we urge anyone who witnessed or heard any disturbances or suspicious activities in the vicinity of New Market Street on Sunday afternoon to come forward. I also encourage individuals to review their dashcam, doorbell, or CCTV footage for any potential evidence that could aid our inquiry. I understand that people may be alarmed by this incident. I want to assure them that this is an isolated occurrence and there is no broader threat to public safety.”
