Savannah Kriger,Kaiden Obituary – Officials have officially determined the cause of death for the mother involved in an AMBER Alert incident that occurred in March. Savannah Kriger and her 3-year-old son, Kaiden, were discovered deceased in a park on the West Side during the early morning hours of March 18.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that Savannah Kriger’s death was a result of suicide, while Kaiden’s death has been ruled as a homicide. The medical examiner stated that Kaiden died from a gunshot wound to the head.

The disappearance of the Kriger family began on the evening of March 17 when deputies conducted a welfare check at their residence. As Savannah could not be reached by phone, concerns started to arise. Eventually, authorities found Savannah’s abandoned car at Tom Slick Park on the West Side, leading the search efforts to focus on the park area.

Tragically, park police discovered the bodies of both Savannah and Kaiden in a nearby ditch. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar disclosed that Savannah and Kaiden’s father were engaged in a custody dispute. The investigation uncovered evidence suggesting that Savannah had left work early to pick up Kaiden from daycare, which was their last confirmed sighting. The future progression of this case remains uncertain.
