Scott Ketter Obituary, Victim identified in fatal Memorial Day boat capsizing incident

Scott Ketter Obituary – Additional information was provided on Tuesday regarding a tragic boating incident that occurred in Wakulla County on Memorial Day, resulting in the loss of one life. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced that Scott Ketter, a 60-year-old individual, tragically passed away on Monday evening.

Ketter was aboard a boat with four other individuals, including two children, when the vessel became overwhelmed with water and capsized in the Ochlocknee Bay near Roho Landing. Consequently, all five occupants were forced into the water, as reported by the FWC.

Regrettably, Ketter was unable to reach the shore and went underwater, subsequently going missing. FWC officers and a dive team promptly arrived at the scene and successfully located Ketter’s lifeless body submerged near the area where the boat had sunk in the river, according to the FWC. The FWC has already informed the next of kin about this devastating incident.
