Wesley Perkins Obituary – The deceased pilot from the small plane crash at Spicewood Airport on Monday night has been identified as Wesley Perkins, a 74-year-old resident of Lakeway.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported that Perkins was the only person on board the single-engine Lancair Legacy FG plane when it crashed near 100 Piper Lane in Burnet County around 6:30 p.m. NTSB Investigators have already begun examining the crash site and the aircraft to gather information. Once the documentation process is complete, the plane will be relocated to a secure facility for further analysis. The NTSB is set to issue a preliminary report within 30 days, with the final report, including the probable cause of the crash, expected to be released in 12-24 months.
